The new HERO Team: a group adventure in the Dolomites
The thrills and emotions won’t stop coming at the 2027 HERO Südtirol Dolomites. The 17th edition of the most iconic mountain bike marathon on the world’s professional stage will take place on Saturday, 12 June 2027, in Selva Val Gardena. This year, it will ring in the brand-new HERO Team, the new team group which rewards team spirit and a shared passion.
How do the "HERO Team" rankings work?
There will be six team rankings which will reward the best teams in the men’s category as well as in the women’s category, spread across the three legendary race tracks boasting 86 km, 71 km, and 60 km.
The three men’s rankings will be determined by adding a team’s overall four best times per race route. The women’s rankings will only require the best times of two athletes.
A total prize money of €10,000 awaits the best teams!
And it doesn’t stop here! The first three HERO Teams per race route (86 km, 71 km, 60 km) and category (men and women) can look forward to a total prize money of €10,000 divided among the six rankings.

To celebrate the launch of HERO Team, we’ve set up an early bird fee which will last until 17 October:
• HERO Team Early Bird: €120 per participant
• Validity: between 17 September and 17 October 2026
Participation requirements
All teams’ card-carrying members and hobby category can register for the "HERO Team" (Elite and U23 athletes excluded). The team can be created and composed by a sports club as well as by a group of friends

The team and its participants must be registered on the Datasport platform by a team coordinator.
