E-MTB TOUR OF SEISER ALM’S CULINARY DELIGHTS
June 15, 2025
Spend a relaxing day after the HERO discovering the Dolomites and its culinary traditions while riding an electric bike in total HERO style. We’ve designed a route with several breaks, including some of the most stunning huts on the Seiser Alm plateau which you can access, naturally, by e-MTB. At the huts, prepare yourselves for a delicious aperitivo with your family or friends, or a wonderful lunch and a dessert.
The HERO E-Gourmet ride departs and finishes in Selva Val Gardena or Alpe di Siusi. 200 spots are available.

HERO E-Gourmet and the e-MTB tour of Seiser Alm’s culinary delights is organised by HERO Südtirol Dolomites in collaboration with the Tourist Office of Selva Val Gardena and Seiser Alm Marketing. HERO E-Gourmet follows the principles of UCI RIDE & SMILE, the manifesto of the International Cycling Union that promotes mountain biking as a sport.
Spectacular views of the Dolomites, the immense space of the largest plateau in Europe and countless small wooden huts and barns, combined with traditional culinary culture: this is what you can expect when mounting your MTB to explore the Seiser Alm. This alpine plateau covers 57 km2 and lies between 1,680 and 2,350 metres above sea level, and is the largest on our continent. Vast meadows and alpine pastures, surrounded by iconic mountains such as the Sassolungo, Sassopiatto and the Sciliar, will be a sight to behold. Enjoy the best of nature, along with delicious specialities that provide an explosion of alpine flavours. Thanks to its immense network of trails, the Seiser Alm is a true paradise for hikers, cyclists and families – there’s something for all levels and tastes. And don’t forget to visit the five villages and fascinating mountain hamlets at the foot of the alpine pastures: Castelrotto, Siusi allo Sciliar, Fiè allo Sciliar, Tires al Catinaccio and Seiser Alm.
Nothing too demanding, just a restorative ride to discover the flavours of nature in this small slice of South Tyrol. Two options to satisfy the palates (and legs) of all participants.
25 km / 750 hm | Classic | 3.5 hours | highest point: 2,062 m |
35 km / 960 hm | Athletic | 4.5 hours | highest point: 2,081 m |
As we ride along either of the two original and enjoyable gastronomical routes on our e-bikes, we’ll discover South Tyrol’s best food and wine.
We’ll begin at the Saltner Schwaige hut Saltria for an aperitivo and at the other huts, we’ll enjoy a restorative lunch along with dessert and coffee.

Do you know the consequences of littering in nature? There are so many! Due to the climate of our mountain landscape, waste decomposition processes are slower and some items don’ decompose at all. People and animals may be injured by waste that has been thrown away.
Therefore, I’m sure we can all agree that the best kind of waste is no waste at all.
Our advice for a clean environment:
