The HERO Südtirol Dolomites is committed towards ensuring all visitors can fully experience the event regardless of their physical needs and demands.
We’ve adopted different measures guaranteeing the event’s accessibility, ensuring its barrier-free ease of access. This will allow everyone to freely move in the different event areas in Selva Val Gardena (BZ).
The main measures are:
1. The HERO Südtirol Dolomites marathon is for everyone
People living with disabilities and deaf people can participate in the HERO Südtirol Dolomites marathon just like every other athlete.
2. Car parks for people living with disabilities in Selva Val Gardena
These can be found at:
- The underground "Chemun" car park in Via Nives Nr. 1. Access via the HERO Village lift, from where you can reach the marathon’s start and finish areas
- The Dantercepies cable car parking area in Via Dantercepies Nr. 42. From here, you can reach the Dantercepies/Passo Gardena Fan Zone
3. Fan Zone – Dantercepies/Passo Gardena
The Dantercepies is the highlight of the first climb. You can park your car at the cable car’s valley station in Selva di Val Gardena and, from there, hop onto the lift facility to easily reach the Fan Zone.
4. Arrival area – Accessible area next to the VIP Lounge
We’ve set up an accessible area next to the VIP Lounge to allow everyone to see the arrivals on race day. The area is next to the Nives Hotel and can be easily reached from the “Chemun” car park. Clear signage will provide easy-to-follow directions.
5. The HERO Village
Making the HERO Village accessible is our priority. We actively involve our partners to make all stands and areas accessible for all visitors.
6. Toilets
Public and accessible toilets are available in the "Chemun" underground cark park and near the entrance to the Pasta Party pavilion on Piazza Comunale, Via Nives Nr. 1
