THE 2022 HERO SÜDTIROL DOLOMITES: A PRICELESS EDITION!

The HERO stands out for the unique and stunning landscape it takes place in, the Dolomites, as well as for its incredible prize money! Licensed athletes will compete during the 2022 Hero Südtirol Dolomites, just like in every other stage of the 2022 HERO Series, for the chance of winning a total prize money of 25,000 US dollars. This is just further evidence of how this circuit and the races have become a prestigious event for every athlete and team. On Saturday 18 June, the exciting HERO Great Finale! will see the 2022 HEROES be crowned. The men and women in the overall Hobby and Licensed rankings on the 60 km and 86 km courses will also receive their awards and due recognition.

UNDER 23 RANKINGS

A first in our long history – a new category! Under 23 athletes, both men and women, will be able to compete on the 60 km course boasting 3,200 hm. The category has its own prize money, and the winner will claim their rightful place on the podium during the Flower Ceremony after the race. This is how we aim to give more visibility and support to young athletes in the world of mountain biking.

HOBBY RANKINGS

Who knew a hobby could be so rewarding? Our men and women in the HOBBY category will compete for the chance of winning a Specialized mountain bike on the 86 km course. The first three places of every category will be awarded typical South Tyrolean produce, an homage to the region the HERO takes place in, appreciated and enjoyed by the entire world.

KING AND QUEEN OF THE MOUNTAIN

An important recognition for whoever crosses the mountain passes of the two racecourses first. For licensed women on the 60 km course, the prize money will go to whoever reached Passo Gardena/Dantercepies (2,298 m) and Passo Sella (2,240 m) first. The men competing on the 86 km course will have to battle it out to see who will reach Passo Gardena/Dantercepies and Passo Duron (2,280 m) first. Hobby category: the first men and women to cross Passo Sella on the 60 km course, and Passo Campolongo (1,875 m) on the 86 km course, will be rewarded for their success! The special King of the Mountain and Queen of the Mountain prize, awarded by VITTORIA, will go to whoever crosses legendary Passo Pordoi (2,239 m) first.
