THE 2022 HERO SÜDTIROL DOLOMITES: A PRICELESS EDITION!
UNDER 23 RANKINGS
A first in our long history – a new category! Under 23 athletes, both men and women, will be able to compete on the 60 km course boasting 3,200 hm. The category has its own prize money, and the winner will claim their rightful place on the podium during the Flower Ceremony after the race. This is how we aim to give more visibility and support to young athletes in the world of mountain biking.
HOBBY RANKINGS
Who knew a hobby could be so rewarding? Our men and women in the HOBBY category will compete for the chance of winning a Specialized mountain bike on the 86 km course. The first three places of every category will be awarded typical South Tyrolean produce, an homage to the region the HERO takes place in, appreciated and enjoyed by the entire world.
KING AND QUEEN OF THE MOUNTAIN
An important recognition for whoever crosses the mountain passes of the two racecourses first. For licensed women on the 60 km course, the prize money will go to whoever reached Passo Gardena/Dantercepies (2,298 m) and Passo Sella (2,240 m) first. The men competing on the 86 km course will have to battle it out to see who will reach Passo Gardena/Dantercepies and Passo Duron (2,280 m) first. Hobby category: the first men and women to cross Passo Sella on the 60 km course, and Passo Campolongo (1,875 m) on the 86 km course, will be rewarded for their success! The special King of the Mountain and Queen of the Mountain prize, awarded by VITTORIA, will go to whoever crosses legendary Passo Pordoi (2,239 m) first.
