Now that the summer’s heatwaves and temperature drops are over and the end of the season is upon us, it’s time to start thinking about 2026.
The UCI has confirmed the 2026 HERO UCI Marathon World Cup’s calendar. The 2025 rounds have been confirmed but there’s more! A new round has been added to kick off the season at the end of winter to ensure the racing adventures go off with a bang!
The 2026 HERO UCI CROSS-COUNTRY MARATHON WORLD CUP’s six stages are:
- 21 February HERO Costa Blanca Calpe (ESP)
- 9 May Capoliveri Legend Cup Elba Island (ITA)
- 31 May Naturland - Andorra Andorra (AND)
- 13 June HERO Südtirol Dolomites Selva Val Gardena (ITA)
- 26 July Black Forest ULTRA Bike Marathon Kirchzarten (GER)
- 20 September La Tramun Sea Otter Europe Girona (ESP)
The race rounds will be staged across four countries for a total of 481 race km boasting over 15,000 hm. The race is also garnering increasing attention from riders in the Amateur categories, with already more than 3,000 participants this year. They compete on the same course as the Elite riders, covering from 60 to 160 kilometres depending on the category and the course, in natural environments and on different types of terrain.
All eyes are now on the La Tramun Sea Otter Europe, which will take place in Girona on Sunday, 21 September and will coincide with the ceremony to award the overall winners of the 2025 HERO UCI MARATHON WORLD CUP! The overall winners of the Men’s and Women’s Masters racing will be crowned on the same occasion.
