COVID-19 HEALTH PROTOCOL

1. Italian Green Pass and antigen test
2. Face mask and 1-m social distancing
3. Watching the HERO – on-site
4. Info for partecipants, who live outside Italy

Dear HEROes,

Health comes first. Your health and our health are placed first in the HERO Südtirol Dolomites’ grid which will take place on Saturday, 12 June 2021 in Selva di Val Gardena. The “RESPECT, STAY SAFE” Health Protocol was created to safeguard everyone’s health. It received the input of many stakeholders, including the South Tyrolean Health Agency, among others, and follows the provisions established by the Italian Government and the Italian Cycling Federation.

1. Italian Green Pass and antigen tests

The BMW HERO Südtirol Dolomites takes place between 10 and 13 June 2021 in Selva di Val Gardena and will apply South Tyrol’s local COVID-19 measures. The HERO’s health protocol applies to all athletes and members of the Organising Team (staff, volunteers, partners, sponsors, media) as well as whoever wants to assist to the side events.

You need to have one of the following documents recognised by the South Tyrolean Health Agency to retrieve your race number and access the side events:
• Covid-19 “Green Pass” or one of the equivalent documents:

• a COVID-19 recovery certificate which is valid on race day on 12 June
• a vaccination certificate or an equivalent document – which will only be considered valid 15 days after the first dose
• an antigen test taken 48 hours before the race, i.e. starting from Thursday 10 and valid until race day on 12 June (the test is considered valid from midnight of the day in which you took the test)

• antigen test 48 hours before the race, i.e. taken from Thursday, 10 June, and valid until race day on Saturday, 12 June (the test is considered valid from midnight of the day in which you took the test)

• CoronaPass Alto Adige

We advise you to come to Val Gardena with a negative test result for a care-free experience to ensure you can retrieve the race number and take part in the actual race.

If you face difficulties in taking an antigen test back at home, you can take a quick nose antigen test at the Covid Test Center in Selva di Val Gardena on the following days:
• Thursday, 10 June, from 8 a.m. until 12.30 p.m., from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.
• Friday, 11 June, from 8 a.m. until 12.30 p.m., from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.

The test is free but has to be booked in advance. Bookings can be made between 1 and 4 June on the event’s website. If the antigen test taken in Selva di Val Gardena is positive, that person will have to follow the COVID-19 measures on quarantine rules and returning to their home.

Further information and details on how the antigen tests will occur will be sent in the week of the 24/30 May 2021.

Race number retrieval

You have to book your race number retrieval online between 1 and 4 June on the event’s website. This measure was taken to avoid creating queues at the “Stadio del Ghiaccio”.

Retrieval times:
• Thursday, 10 June, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
• Friday, 11 June, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

2. Masks and 1-m distance

Italian COVID-19 measures require people to wear masks and keep their distance (minimum 1 metre) from other people. These rules are compulsory for everyone, regardless of their role, at the 2021 BMW HERO Südtirol Dolomites. The Italian Cycling Federation’s safety protocol also requires cyclists to keep their distance (1 m) even in the starting grid and to wear an FFP2 mask. The mask can only be taken off 1 minute before the actual start. The Organising Committee has provided a FFP2 mask in its welcome pack. Wearing the FFP2 mask is compulsory when accessing the refreshment spots on the trail and in the arrival area.

3. Watching the BMW HERO Südtirol Dolomites on-site

Social distancing is required if you want to watch the race on-site. You can watch the marathon along the route if you follow the minimum 1-m social distancing rule and always wear a face mask. Seats have been restricted to guarantee distancing among people during the night-time events and the arrival area: only negative test holders or Italian Green Pass holders will be able to access the events and only if they have booked their place beforehand. Bookings can be made between 1 and 4 June on the event’s website. Due to organisational reasons, viewing the kick-off of the marathon in the morning will not be possible.

Further information and details will be sent in the week of the 24/30 May 2021.

4. INFO FOR PARTICIPANTS, WHO LIVE OUTSIDE ITALY
